My name is Anne and I live just west of Seattle in a town called Bremerton.
I’ve been married to #1Hubs for 26 years...
and most important -- very funny):
D#1,
Since the youngest was born, I have always worked outside the home. I build boring corporate intranet websites for a large govt contractor. Yes, you indirectly pay my salary. I’ll try to do better. ;)
A hobby is something that you enjoy doing in your spare time and usually requires time and money to be invested. Having four kids and working full time never left much time for hobbies. But since the kids have grown and gone, I’ve picked up (and discarded) a few new hobbies
The picture below shows 3 of my favorite hobbies. Can you spot them?
Drinking Starbucks coffee, playing with my iPhone, and having Spiced Rum!
You don't think these qualify as hobbies?
Do you know how much time and money I have spent on these 3 things?!
'nuff said.
Maybe it’s because I live in a beautiful area that hiking for miles to
see just a tad bit more beauty seems silly. Plus, bears. And snow.
This is me on a hiking trip (that's my 'I'm not really having fun' face):
Here's me sporting that same face in my scuba gear (right before I tipped over from all the weight):
I have always loved to dance in many different forms (ballet, tap, gymnastics, ballroom, swing, latin). Here is me dancing on an empty stage with no audience (my favorite):
Travel to places with warm, sandy beaches is a favorite hobby. Growing up in Hawaii has made it a prerequisite to do this at least once or twice a year to thaw out:
I love the Sounders, too, and try to go to most home games!
Fredy Montero used to be my favorite player until he got married.
Now, it's just not as fun toleer at cheer for him.

I love photography, but admit to shelving my fancy camera when I got my iPhone.
Last year I captured the beauty of our water view by taking a picture a day.
Even I was amazed at the different colors!
Here's the video I made: 365 Days of Water View
Out of all my hobbies, my Triathlonaddiction hobby is my favorite!!
I train for Triathlons for me, myself, and I.
I've never considered myself an athlete, but pushing myself to swim, cycle, and run
further and faster than I ever have is challenging and fun.
And it keeps me feeling young!
I made this blog so that I could document my story for myself and family.
And also to connect with othercrazy people that love Triathlons,
training, swimming, cycling, running, and other forms of healthy exercise.
I would love to hear your story, too!
